Now, for what you have all been waiting for... My stuff from Mata!!  The images are a bit large... sorry! I got a new digi cam and am testing it out.

When I opened up the box (which impressed the post office; it's not common for my little country town to receive packages from such places) I saw a very lovely bag!

It's big enough to hold my stuff, including my day planner.  Cheesy

Inside the bag I found...

A knitting needle case!!! My needles have been liberated from the bag.  And, although it was pink, it just wasn't doing the job.  I couldn't wait to put my needles in.  Wink

Here is the rest of the goodies that were inside the bag!  A pyramid purse with chocolate inside, paper yarn (yes, yarn made of paper! any ideas of what I can knit?), and some cute socks.  Yay pink and yay for mata!

Thanks for posting pics, Candace!
Is that.. a monster ipod nano cover peeping out of the pocket?!?! I love it!  Cheesy
As for paper yarn, I have absolutely no idea what you could use it for.. perhaps a lamp shade? Let me know if you need more than 1 ball!
It was fun crafting for this swap, and I discovered that I really really love the pink/black/white combo.
I used some remnant fabric from your bag to decorate another bag (for another swap).. if you're curious, you can see it here!
Now I can't wait to receive your goodies.. all the way from Japan, so cool!!  Grin

Thanks again, mata! <3 (^o^) <3

Pink and black is a fun combo, isn't it?

I'll ask around to some of my knitting friends about what I can do with paper yarn.  I was telling my fiance about it and he was in awe about the concept of paper yarn and demanded that I make something cool/worthy enough for the yarn.  Cheesy

I'm curious to see what you'll come up with, I hope you'll show us some pics! I had never seen paper yarn before and it seemed pretty cool.. Wink Knowing me, I'd probably set it on fire accidentally or melt it with my sweaty hands..  Roll Eyes

How nice, AngelofMusic867...you flatter me!  I have uploaded 5 images of the items that I made for her.  I came up with a "sub-theme" of 5 color combinations with pink:  pink + green= preppy; pink + red = bold; pink + brown = yummy; pink + white = charmng; and pink + black = sophisticated.  I made paper items, including pillow boxes, stationery, cards, and a journal with embroidered embelllishment.  Here goes:

http://www.craftster.org/pictures/data/500/40355Pillow_boxes_and_frame.jpg

Here are the 5 pillow boxes and the picture frame that explains the color combinations.

Thanks for looking!  Loved this swap!

Amazing. I love what you did here! You are very talented!

Great swap stuff, Mata!  I love the knitting needles case, esp with all of the different pink pattern fabrics you used.  mistresscandace, you're a lucky gal!

prettypitbull, thanks for the compliment.  I can't wait to see lots more pink goodies!

I knooooow!  I have been wanting/needing a needle case for so long.  I am very happy with it! It's so bright and cheerful, plus has plenty of room for my circs and straight needles.

And yes, that is my monster nano sticking out of the bag!  He tried to claim the bag as his own.
