This is the first quilt that I made ever completely by myself.  Let me know what you think!!!

I "caught" lots of things in my jars!!!

EDIT for Tutorial:

Ok, so first you cut out your Jar.  I'm not putting measurements on here because this is going to be a really simple tutorial and you can really make the jars whatever size you want.

Next, you want to cut out 4 small squares that you will sew in the corners.  Place the squares on top of the fabric you already cut out in all four corners of the Jar piece, and sew diagonally across them.

Flip up the corners and iron them to make it look like this:

Now you'll add the two side pieces that frame the jar.

Ok, so next you'll make the top piece of the jar, and then attach the entire piece to the top.

Anyone have any questions?  I hope its pretty clear.....

That is really great. I bet that was fun, looking for things to catch! I might try to do this with my 9 year old daughter.

Your quilt is wonderful!!!!!!!!!!  Did you have a pattern or make up your own?  Are the jars appliqued on?

I'm thinking of making an I Spy quilt and, after seeing your quilt, thought it might be fun to do something like this instead of just plain squares.

Yes, I had a pattern.  And no, they weren't appliqued.  Thanks for all the positive comments!!
