I made these flip flops just using cheap $2 flip flops and some novelty yarn crocheted around the tops. Hope you like!

Those are so cute. They look alot more fun than plain ones. Are you worried about the yarn getting dirty? (gosh, that sounded like a mom. sorry) Did you single crochet them?

I'm too worried about them getting dirty. I figure for the cost of the yarn and flip flops combined being <$6 a pair, if they last through the summer I'll be impressed. Yes, they are just single crocheted around the top plastic piece. A pair takes me 30-hour depending on how thick I make the novelty furry part.

Yay, i learned how to do these over the weekend!  ...Only i do it by hand (WAY easier than the fussy crochet hook i started with) and it only takes me 1 hour at the most.  I just did a pink pair today Grin  I think mine end up a bit fuzzier than yours, but i used different yarn.

I did this with silver fun-fur last year! Smiley They were not nearly as fluffy as those though!

I may have to do a couple more now. Wink
