i saw this skirt at Club Monaco today, but I would never pay for it, way too expensive. i'm just starting to make clothing, and want to make this skirt. does anyone have any advice. i can't seem to find a pattern like it. all i can find are vintage skirt patterns similar, but who wants to pay $20 for a pattern?  thanks you guys! oh yeah, if you go to clubmonaco.com, it's the ALMA skirt.

It just looks like a simple pleated skirt with a waistband. That is what most handmade pleated skirts look like if they're not starched, ironed, whatever, to keep the pleats super stiff. There are lots of tutorials on here for pleated skirts if you use the search feature. HTH

Cute skirt! My sugesstion is to go to JoAnne's fabric (if you have one in your area) and pick up a pattern. Not all patterns are $20, and JoAnne's usually has sales on their patterns. I'm not sure if it's just in the Joanne's in my town, but Vogue patterns are always 50% off and are wonderful patterns. You can usually find a pattern for under $5.00 that will work. Good luck with the skirt! Please post pictures when you have made it!
