I got some really pretty tissue paper in a craft shop ages ago, i thought it was so pretty i wanted to use for something. So one day i bought a cheap photoframe, got some of my pretty purple ribbons..

I just used some pva glue, decoupaged it onto the photoframe. but the layer was too thin, so i decoupaged another layer on so the pattern would come out more. I didn't like the garish gold colour, so around the edge of the frame i used the pva to stick the ribbon on.

I got the wire mesh in a hardware store. The holes small enough to fit earring wire through, it was easy to cut, so i got the glass from the photoframe traced it onto the wire, and used a scissors to cut it out so it would fit. To stick the wire to the frame, i used UHU all purpose glue, and i left it beside the radiator, added some more glue, then let it dry. And ta-da!

I think it looks really kitchsy/vintage. Very proud of it. And the purple matches my room!

Was the tut helpful? A bit basic, but its simple to make. And it makes a great gift.
