ive got this fabric i bought $1 a yard, so if i mess up and ruin it, no big deal. i REALLY like the look of a dress over jeans, but all the dresses i own are knee length, and dont look too good with jeans. i figured i'd try to make a dress out of the fabric. any ideas for patterns or anything? empire waists dont look too great on me. there isnt any stretch to the fabric so id have to do a zipper or a tie of some sort? any thoughts are much appreciated. sorry its so long.

this is the fabric

that is just a normal size chapstick to show size.

p.s. im aware that the fabric is kind of ugly, but this is pretty much just a practice run

It think Butterick B4790 might look cute with that fabric. You would be able to shorten it before you cut out the material. It would look cute paired with some wite fabric, even if it was just on the trim.
