Is it a bonnet? A headband? A half hat?

I made this head band for a swap that I was doing. It was inspired by a picture that I saw on a French blog. I love it so much I don't want to give it away but I plan on making many more for myself!






P.S. Because the light is so bright and it distorts the colors I'll describe the fabrics - black with white pindots as the base, red rick rack, small yo yo = red with white pin dots and large yo yo = red and white patterned fabric...

uh i like it, i like it A LOT!
and the flower that u added are such a brazilian thing!  we call it fuxico (pronounced "foo-she-co").
we make everything with it!  shirts, quilts, bags......
i LOVE the way you made yours!  how does it tie on the back?  is there an elastic band?  do you tie it up?  can you describe it?

Thanks for the info! I love learning stuff like that. My fiance spent some time in Brasil and just loved it - I really hope to go there someday

As for your questions there is an elastic on the back, which is awesome because I'm a dance teacher and always wearing head scarves, but when I teach they're very shifty.

Would anyone be interested in a tutorial? I'm going to make some more with a few variations, I have lots of ideas!

So cute! I just cut off all my hair and it's too short to pull back in a ponytail... I could stitch up a few of these & it would be totally cute for keeping my hair out of my face when I'm sewing. Thanks for the idea!
