So I guess I'm now addicted to sewing, which is terrible, because I have so much work to do Wink

Anyway here are two tops I made this week.  The first one is made from dark pink tshirt fabric and some black lace from value village.  Although it's not an original design by any means, it was one of the first times I've ever figured out a pattern instead of just tracing an existing tank top.  It turned out pretty well, but the straps are too long -- if I'm doing anything but standing, they slip off my shoulders.  Easy to fix, anyway!

I like long tank tops. And I really liked this shirt (I can't remember where I got this picture from... ebay, maybe?):

(I wanted to make my shirt this long, but I didn't have enough fabric)

So using some cheap black and white striped fabric from the salvation army, I made this:

I'm really proud of the seams -- I somehow managed to line up the stripes mostly!  here's a close up:

wow! maybe its because the only thing iv ever sewn was a glasses case (that didn't really work), but those are really well done and very stylish. i really like the stripey one, it looks like something i would wear/buy/stare at in the window of some store for hours on end

i really like the pink one too, i would definitely wear both of them

Nice work. I'd be addicted to sewing too if my tops came out like these.

I'll post a tutorial!  I've got to go out to a friend's house right now, but I'll make and post it when I get home.
