captain, that pattern is really similar, but I think we should stick with the new look one, so that everyone has the same directions, that way if there's confusion, we can help each other!

I think I'm going to join in on this. Sounds like fun, and I need a new dress, anyway Cheesy Will probably take me a while to get started though.

I am going to buy the pattern tomorrow.  I have some other projects in cue, but this one will be fun.  Everything I make is kinda gothic or lolita and this would make a really cute jumper!  I will scan fabric once i decide which one and such.  I can't wait to see all your creativeness Cheesy

I have a project "in cue" myself-but I usually have a few going anyway LOL I'm probably just going to find something in my stash to use (if i can't find something in 9 huge 21 gallon storage bins, something is definately wrong!)
this is awesome to see so many people interested in this:)

I think I'll do this too... I love making sweet sundresses.  I have some great vintage ebay fabric that this might be perfect for.....

I noticed on the pattern (which I plan to buy after I get tips this weekend, if everything pans out) that it calles for featherweight boning for the 'bodice'.  Personally (as a big fan of heavily steel-boned corsets) I can't stand featherweight, so I was curious what exactly it's being used for.  I might have something else that could work in its place.  Anyone care to share before I buy the pattern, just in case?

Really?  On the envelope back on the wepage it's listed under the general requirements before it starts listing off variation-specific requirements.

One 14" zipper, hook and eye, 1/2 yd. of 1/8" wide featherweight boning.  A: 81/2 yd. of 7/8" ribbon.  B:...

Etc, etc.  Damn those misleading pattern packets.  Thanks.  Smiley

thats the only reason I could see using it... I don't put boning in dresses with straps... just one more thing to worry about... and too much hassle if its not their serving a support purpose...
