Thanks for looking... this is the first time I've managed to get my act together and submit something to a craft challenge. Smiley

I found this at the local craft store:

As you can see, I paid three whole dollars for it. The little old lady at the cash register approved highly... so I didn't tell her I planned to deface (or perhaps 're-face') it. I liked that it was a wooden plaque and it reminded me of the sort of plaque one might have of an ancient ancestor, except for the flowers, unless, flowers are associated with the ancestor... hence, the Blue Fairy:

She's painted in acrylic inks. I've added a ceramic bird and branch (probably also from the thrift store), some paper flowers and a second small bird, so this now extends into the third dimension. I also sanded down some of the nicks and scratches which also helps make this look older. I like her antennae. Plus, her eyes seem to follow you if you move...
