The Maryland Sheep and Wool Festival is this weekend, May 6th and 7th at the Howard County Fair Grounds.  It is an ghoulish experience.  It is a free event, and there are all kinds of wonderful things to do, see, purchase, and eat  Smiley.  You can see border collie's herd sheep, and watch sheep getting sheared, and best of all there are hundreds of crafty things! There are lots of people selling yarn, and fibers in all different stages of raw wool, to completed knitted projects.  Even if you don't buy anything, it's a great place to go for some inspiration.

Let me know if you go and if you saw anything exciting!  I unfortunately have final exams this weekend, so I won't be able to make the trip  Cry

I went!  It was lots of fun.   I really wanted to see the 'sheep to shawl' competition but ended up missing it...  There were lots of fun things to see and the weather was perfect.  There were not as many crafters this year as I remember in past years.  I walked around for awhile trying to find handmade soap...  But anyways I'm sorry you missed it but I hope your exams went well.

Thanks for the reply! I was definitely there in spirit. Did you get a chance to see the border collies herd the sheep? That's always fun to watch.

Smiley Now exams are done and I have time to get back to all those projects calling my name.
Hooray for summer!

I went!  I bought so much yarn!  I just wound it all up this weekend.
