You should just leap in and try it, Shiva!  This one is just done in #2 pencil!  I did ultimately take a couple of art classes, but neither helped me get better at this style.  They actually hindered me so I'm planning to just try to forget anything I've "learned" and just follow my instincts.  And believe me, as spastic as I can be, if I can do it, I KNOW you can!!!!

Dude, that totally looks like Mel Gibson, only that's the best picture I've ever seen of him.  Awesome job for your first time.
