ok. Ok i know Lord of the rings (further mentioned as LotR cause im lazy) Is kinda "over"

But i still love it *swoons and the rest* Its just so fantastic..!

It could be a normal swap, buuuuuuuuuttttttttt tt,   I was thinking, it would be cool to do a 3 or 4 month swap.... they'd be like this...

(FotR = Fellowship of the ring, TTT = the two towers, RotK = Return of the king)

Four month swap
Month 1: Hobbit
Month 2: FotR
Month 3: TTT
Month 4: RotK

Three month swap
Month 1: FotR
Month 2: TTT
Month 3: RotK

Or something similar..... what do you think..?

I'd be willing to organise if I can get a decent amount of participants (or even a small amount, small swaps are nice swaps too Smiley

I'd be interested! I've loved those books forever and ever, long before the movies came out. I even did my senior research paper on the Silmarillion. Middle-Earth rocks my socks!

Very cool idea, how many items for each month? as much as for a normal swap?

I guess it depends, we could do as much as a normal swap.... or say one large item or three small items a month..?  depending on what you are crafting....

Or, you and your partner could decide... or, I could put a question in the survey asking what you would prefer to do and match you up with that.

I love tolkien... Ive read LotR and The Hobbit SO many times... but i must admit I have found the Silmarillion hard to read, I have read half about two times... It reads alot like a history book... but its not too bad Smiley

I actually tried reading FotR in high school and could not get into it.  I didn't actually try again until the movie came out on DVD and my mom bought it.  I had no interest in watching it, and ended up sitting in on it anyway.  Then I went to the library and read all of them.  And the Hobbit.  I tried to read the Silmarillion, but I just couldn't.

Anyway, sounds cool, is what I was getting at...lol

If it happens I think you should include the Hobbit...making it a four month swap (right?), because the Hobbit is  too good not to. Or am I the only one who thinks that?

The hobbit is great, I read it first, then the LotR.  They are what got me into reading fantasy, and the rest is history.  Grin
