I love this!  It's so adorable.  I wonder how I could do that but make it into a rug!

  Use two strands of yarn with a large hook .. and make as many rounds as you need

I thought of this project when I was at Lowe's yesterday.  They have cotton and nylon cord in various colors and thicknesses, and I think it would work really well to make a doormat-type rug (and it's cheap, too).
