This blanket was so fast (I made it in approx 5 hours)
http://www.craftster.org/pictures/uploads/18549/DSC06121.JPG
BeBe kitty seems to like it

And since I dont have a baby to show the size, Elmo will have to do
http://www.craftster.org/pictures/uploads/18549/DSC06122.JPG

This one I made with regular ol' red heart, I am working on another one made with baby sport.

What you think?

I love this!  It's so adorable.  I wonder how I could do that but make it into a rug!

I got a bunch of old Crochet! magazines at a garage sale, that is where I got the pattern at.
I can scan it and post it for everyone, I will do that tomorrow.

I bet if you use two strands of yarn, it would make a really cute rug.
I may just have to try that!

I love that.  That might be motivation enough to follow an actual pattern!

I wonder how I could do that but make it into a rug!
Crochet it with fabric strips, instead of yarn.  Or twine, for a different type of rug.

Just as a warning, getting the first few rows of this one is a major doozy. It took me 4-5 attempts to get it right.

I'm working on a star shaped afghan using this pattern (scroll down to 3/2/06 entry). It was much easier to get this one started.

That's too bad you and others had trouble with this pattern, I didn't and if I had of, I wouldn't have suggested it.  Thanks for sharing that there could be problems  Grin

I thought of this project when I was at Lowe's yesterday.  They have cotton and nylon cord in various colors and thicknesses, and I think it would work really well to make a doormat-type rug (and it's cheap, too).

Hey, if it was made of something sturdy that would make an awesome rug in a kids room too! I love it
