Before

What the hell can I do with this? My metro boyfriend lost some weight and has all these fab button downs that are too big. He donated them to me, and here I am thinking "Hmm should I sleep in it or revamp?"

After

OK at this point Im delierious. Im tired and Im cracking up because it actually came out how I wanted (which can I tell you, NEVER happens)

Another shot

and what post isnt complete with Kissy face emo pose (excuse my sleepyness, this was around midnight after a full day at work then chasing my 8 year old around)

This is a fairly easy recon, now that Ive done it once, I will do a bunch more. I think next time Ill take pics as I go and post a tut. Every girl needs one of these, and it would be easy to turn into a cute bolero or something. Im sure anyone who is a basic sewer could do this.

The sleeves are retro cherry print that I had left over from a wallet I made..

Hope you all like.

Hey PS: My machine in the end started giving me loopy stitches.. WTF.. Im thinking its the thread (I had to change up at the end) I tried to adjust the tension, but no luck. I want to topstitch it, but cant until I fix this.  Anyone ever had this happen??

Smiley

*MODIFICATION*

I wore it to work today. This is how you rock it open.. Just FYI.. The shirt comes out a bit fitted so when your a lil bloated or "puffy" like I was today, this is a cute option..

PS ok the plant has foil on the bottom because my kitten kept digging it up..lmfao AND it was windy and one of my verticals came flying off.. soo ghetto.

LMFAO

Beautiful recon.

My machine does this once in awhile too. Usually it is because I have too much dust in it. Or at least that is how I fix it. I take the bobbin out. Clean it really well, and rethread, and try again. Almost always this works. Good luck

I love the shirt!
And how cool is it that your boyfriend is metro?!
I'd love a tut seeing as how I've been contemplating trying out puffy sleeves for a while, now.

Sounds like it could be the bobbin.

Anyways, great recon, Now I am running to my husbands closet to steal shirts he doesn't need.
