complete hapenstance that I'm entering this. I haven't been on craftster for a long bit due to real life responsibilities but I just finished a gift for my friend
LAST NIGHT and wanted to share. Good thing I searched for "Picture revamp" to figure out where to put this post!
This was supposed to be a Christmas gift and then an end of January house warming gift and now it's just a, well, damn, you deserve for all the wait gift. Luckily I have a very dear and laid back friend.
This was a painting done by a mother for her daughter. I've spent more than a few minutes wondering at the circumstances that led it to Goodwill but then I realized how great that is since it will now grace a wall for a long time to come.
Originally this was supposed to be painted but I had to concede to collage if I ever wanted to finish. The monster was supposed to be Powerpuff girl-esque but I decided on the snipe eel so I wouldn't take another 5 months to finish. I actually really like him now. (FYI, he's from the very deep ocean, which I am completely obsessed with.)
Hopefully you can see everything in the pics. My monitor is very dark so I can't see the detail, although I'm fairly sure it was showing up on the camera screen.
