Peacock! Hedgehog! Snail!

I found these three pieces of art at a local flea market and bought the trio for $15.  They look like they came off the walls of some long-defunct seaside motel.  Apologies to the original artist, wherever he or she may be!



Since the material was stillin good shape I decided to turn each Beige Beastie into something a little more whimsical.  I had some feathers in my craft cupboard and just kind of made everything up from there on.

 
Once a lonely little sandpiper. . .. . . .. now a fabulous peacock!

 
I have NO IDEA what this was. . . . .. . but now it's a playful hedgehog!

 
Used to be an abstract-y conch thingy. . . .. now an inquisitve snail!

Those are really cool!

The middle critter is a horseshoe crab. They are very common in and around Tampa Bay. If my high school biology is correct, they are actually not a crab and are a member of the spider family.

my favorite is the horseshoe crab into the hedgehog! The spikies are so cute!
