I will make ksta a stenciled shirt.  This is my first claim.

Im a PhD candidate studying in Cambridge, MA (right across the river from Boston).  I grew up in western NY state.  As for my hobbies, I knit, watch way too much TV (ER, Judging Amy reruns, Law and Order, Law and Order: SVU, Gilmore Girls, Scrubs), read (historical mysteries; I am currently working my way through Stephanie Barrons Jane Austen mystery series), and watch lots of movies (both new and old, I love 1930s romantic comedies, and I really liked some recent releases like Good Night and Good Luck, Pride and Prejudice, and Munich).  I am currently learning how to crochet, and I wish I had a dog (I grew up with a bossy Pomeranian).  I dont have that much extra time to listen to music, but I have loved Green Day and Oasis for years, though I am beginning to like The Killers too.

My wishlist: (Links are just suggestions, just PM me if you have questions)

-Silverware bracelets (http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=55703.0)

-Purses made from neckties (http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=45985.0, http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=8148.0)

-Belts.  I got some great ones in the last round, and I want more!
http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=75711.0

-Record purses (http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=37123.0)

-Sewn clutches of various types (http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=47648.0, http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=24610.0, http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=77766.0)

-Small buttons/pin backs (like the badge a minit type).  I can never get enough.  Maybe some with a Star Wars, ER, or Firefly theme?

-A sewn newsboy type hat (http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=27772.0)

-A circle skirt or some other type of cool skirt.  If you have an idea, just pm me.

-My Little Pony, Star Wars, or Spiderman licensed fabric.  I saw some My Little Pony flannel the other day that was soooooo cute.

-A needle felting kit

-Teach me to sew!  I have a sewing machine, but I'm scared of it.  A kit for a project like a tote would be cool.

Edited to add:

-A wallet.  I've had the same one for eight years, and it's falling apart.  I have a lot of junk, so more pockets is better.  http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=16097.0   http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=40505.0

-A swap journal

-some Kanzashi flower pins and hair clips, or a kit to teach me how to make them

Hey Quincy - when you say "small buttons/pin backs"- how small are you talking?  I could do some for you, my friend has a badge-a-minit (actually 2!), but I think her buttons are 2" or so around.

Let me know!

I would say up to 2" would be cool.  Thanks for asking!

I claim SevsOnlyGirl for some "Hair Gizmos." This is my second claim, and the first was sent out yesterday.

I'm in Florida.

Batgirl already claimed me for jewelry (thank you!!!!), but I'm leaving it on the list because I don't have very much jewelry and I'm not very good at making it myself.

1. A pair of earrings (or however many pairs you care to make me).
Inspiration: http://liebschien.zoto.com/img/original/94a1d72137037c3c53097d175a20a333.jpg
I like the shapes and colors of these. Exact replicas are not expected.

2. An earthy or oceany bracelet or cuff (6" circumference and not too wide).
By earthy or oceany I mean using earth tones or ocean/beach colors, using some natural materials, looking organic like it came from the earth or the ocean, or having a nature or ocean theme.
http://www.treasurebox.co.uk/dragonfly/pink_shell_charm_bracelet.htm
http://www.susankayjewelry.com/sj9chrmbrcltstkl.gif
http://www.jade.enthuzed.net/cuff2.jpg

3. Hairsticks.
I like the terra cotta ones on this page a lot:
http://www.webfancies.com/sticks/egyptbead.html
But I will stick anything in my hair as long as it is smooth to the touch, has a relatively pointy end, and is as lengthy as a crochet hook or a pencil. I am tired of using crochet hooks and pencils in my hair.

4. A decorated container with or without a lid (I probably won't use the lid).
Please no bigger than a shoebox. It will be used to house a few bath products like moisturizers, nail clippers, comb, etc. Heck, a decorated shoebox would be fine.

5. A general dog item:
I've got a male yorkie. He looks like this: http://liebschien.zoto.com/img/original/d4f5669a33faca8abbf2204d74ff7351.jpg

6. I LOVE this hoody: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=80615.msg846925#msg846925 (the octopus one)
I would love something like this as either a T-shirt or a hoody. What I love about it is the size of the image and the placement, the subject matter (sealife), and the artistic ability. These colors are great as is, but I would wear this or something similar in any colors. Small usually fits me best, but sometimes I get mediums.

7. Anything from my Wists list: http://www.wists.com/Liebschien
Used, second-hands, hand-me-downs and re-gifts are fine with me.

8. Anything with dragonflies.
Here is some inspiration: http://liebschien.zoto.com/img/original/2ca497d102693641933978a9ee0f75a9-.jpg

9. Really, really good instructions for using Double-Pointed Needles (DPNs) or send me your grandmother to personally teach me. I have a set of four size 9 DPNs. I can't figure them out. I'm just kidding about sending me your grandmother. Please don't.

10. Cotton knitted dish cloth.
I can knit, it's just not one of my favorite crafts to do. But I have a cotton knitted dish cloth someone sent me and I love it. I need more.
I like the pretty spring colors of some of the ones shown here: http://community.livejournal.com/craftgrrl/8471315.html  The gingham one is just adorable.

11. Set of hand-decorated notecards (blank inside) or postcards.

12. A sturdy rectangular container.
Interior dimensions of 5"W x 4"- 6"H x 6"- 12"L
It will be used for pouring soap into. I will be lining it with wax paper so it doesn't matter what it's made out of as long as the sides are straight.

13. Two cool luggage tags.
It doesn't matter what they're made of or what colors as long as they stand out and there's a spot for me to write my contact info.
Look here for inspiration: http://liebschien.zoto.com/img/original/a243e2979c56186387558b99aae0dfb1.jpg

Colorwise, I prefer shades, tones, and hues. I don't much care for bright primary colors or day-glow colors. My favorites are browns, blue/greens (teal, aqua, turqoise), black, greens (olive, army, moss, avocado), baby or sky blue, subtle pinks. Themes are not necessary, but here are some ideas just in case: insects (especially dragonflies, butterflies or beetles), nature, birds, trees, leaves, water, the orient, writing, crafting, art, candy and other sweets, fruit, beach and sealife, computers, coffee, traveling, or anything I wouldn't be embarrassed to show my mom.

I'm 32 and I'm the computer lab manager at the local high school. At the moment, my life consists of computers, crafting, my dog, and not much else. I play video games and look at crafting stuff on my computer all the time. I take my dog for walks and torture him with grooming processes. I crochet, sew, make soap, play with beads and clay, knit remedially, and dabble in other crafts when in the mood.

W hen I get the chance, I like to travel, go hiking, camping, bike riding, kayaking, visit festivals, read on the beach, and just generally be outdoors and active. My style reflects these activities. I wear t-shirts and pants or cargo shorts (the shorts go on when I get home from work) most everyday with my Teva's or my hiking boots, depending on the weather. I would like to dress up my wardwrobe with some cool jewelry.

P.S. SevsOnlyGirl, can you please give me an example of a hairtie? I know what all the other hair gizmos are, but just not sure about the hairtie. Thank you!

P.S. SevsOnlyGirl, can you please give me an example of a hairtie? I know what all the other hair gizmos are, but just not sure about the hairtie. Thank you!

LOL!  I'm sorry, that was funny.  Hairties are what I call "ponies" or "ponytail holders".  I don't know why.  I figure they are for your hair and in olden days they tied = hairties!

15. An embellished towel to take to the beach or pool. I just love (http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=88909.msg881259#msg881259). Hertrigger already made me one of these, but I would love one or two more. I would also love something like the bag in the link.

16. A surprise based on my likes and/or wishes. If you have something in mind but youre not sure about it, feel free to pm me.

Im 26 and Im a Midwestern transplant living in Southern California. Im a book nerd to the extreme. I love classic literature and Harry Potter (esp. Snape, Lupin and the Weasley twins).
