Okay. I hate shrugs. I've always thought they looked silly. But I bought some really lovely tan Cascade Sierra, and for some reason, I decided that the Knot Ugly shrug would be the perfect project for it.

I love it. It worked up so quickly, and the pattern was a breeze to follow.

I swear, it really isn't that much bigger on the left side. It's just the way I'm standing. (And I don't think I'm the first one to mention the issue of my boobs being uneven anyway.)  Wink I was going to do the ruffled edge, but after I got that done and tried it on, I realized that I look ridiculous in anything ruffly. So I forgged it and went with the plain edging, and then I had enough yarn left over from the ruffles to do the bottom edging and ties. ^_^

The back!

I swear, if you're a beginner and you're looking for a relatively easy project that doesn't take a long time (or an insanely large amount of yarn) this is a great one to start with.

So cute! It looks great on you. I'm not a ruffle person either. I am definitely a beginner crocheter. You've inspired me to try it. Now what do I have in my stash? *off to dig through crazy big piles of yarn*

I've always thought I look goofy in shrugs, but I know tons of people who love them! And it is always exciting to have FAST patterns! Yours looks beautiful! I really like the color!

That came out really nice and looks great on you.   Smiley

I love that pattern, too -- my dd was very happy with the two that I did for her, one with ruffled edge and one plain, both done in Caron SS.

It is hard to get shrugs to look nice on us bigger-boobed ladies, but I'm thinking of trying to make this, perhaps adjusting it in the front a bit!  Great job, BTW!

It worked out quite nicely, actually. I'm a size D (it sucks) and I made a medium, and it fits great. Actually, I started out making a large, but then I somehow ended up with only enough stitches for the medium, so then I just kinda followed the established pattern.

But yeah.... it's a good one for larger chested girls, especially if you use a nice cotton/wool blend with some stretch to it. I used Cascade Sierra.
