Glad to see ya join!

I'm still finishing up the right front of mine, and then I'll only have the sleeves and roses left. I have gotten to the point where I can't wait to be finished. I am really enjoying the knit, though, and hoping it is going to be a gorgeous sweater on me.

Okay guys...

I am done.

To sum it up, I love it.  Totally worth all the time, effort, and detail.  I can't wait to see all yours finished too.  Details and more pictures on my blog: http://girlwhoknits.blogspirit.com/archive/2006/07/09/a-rambling-rose.html.

Oh my, jemmer, that is beautiful! I've been eyeing this, but thought it would take me forever to knit so I had decided not to attempt it. But after seeing yours, I'm very very tempted!  Smiley

OMG, yours is soooo beautiful! I can't wait now to be done, though I doubt mine will look as nice on me as yours does on you! You did a fantastic job!

I still have the sleeves and the roses to do on mine. I have family in from out of town, and school, so knitting's been on the back burner, but now I want to finish so badly!

Thanks you guys.  I am very happy.

cnp71201: You are so close...my suggestion is to do both sleeves at once--it at least felt like it was going faster.

shana: it did take time but it is so worth it.  Plus I feel like I really accomplished something.

Happy Knitting!

Ok, now... I'm at the sleeve shaping. It says:

Cast off 7 sts at beg of next row. 65 st.

..... but you are supposed to  have 79 stitches when you start out... and 79 - 7 does not equal 65! Am I supposed to cast off 7 stitches at each end? Because that WOULD equal 65.

Is this a misprint or what?

I read it as a misprint and cast off seven on each side.  I hate when patterns miss little details.

You are so close!

It's absolutely beautiful!  The colour really suits the pattern, too, and it suits you very well.  Excellent job!
