so here is a shirt that i made this weekend with my friends. I drew the music with black fabric paint, and my friends dyed it with tea so it turned out ivory colored...we were trying to go for that whole old sheet music vibe....hope u like it!

heres a close up!

it looks a little messy so im going to try to make it neater, any suggestions?

i like it. i have a friend with a similar shirt. i personally like the look of it messy, but you could probably just take a smaller brush and go over the lines again in the spots where you think it should be touched up. it looks great.

I like the messy look too. And, being a musician myself, I want one!!

It seems more like old sheet music with the lines messy.  Back when they had to write music out by hand and walk five miles uphill both ways to school every day.  Maybe you could even add some paint blobs like splattered ink and it would look intentionally messy.

Very cute! I love the swirliness of the lines!

Love it!!!  What a great idea.  I may have to do something like this myself.  I wonder if you did it on a dark coloured T-shirt could you possibly use a bleach pen to write in the music?  I've never tried the bleach pen technique myself, but I've seen others use it on Craftster.

OK, I know this thread is super old, but I just came across it and my friend LuNaGirl made it sound so not as cool as it was. See she was making it at a DIY party and it she painted all the notes. Then she left for dance, but she was gonna back later. But her sister got a fever so she decided to stay home (aw, how sweet...) My and the two other girls decided to finish it for her as a surprise. And that's the personal story behind this shirt that no one cares about. Wink

This is uber cute. What a clever idea for a tee shirt! Great job.
