I don't really know what kind of purse this is. I just saw some really cute ones like this all around this site but none were crocheted. I started it last night and finished it this morning. It doesn't take that long to make. It was a really fun project. If i get enough requests i might attempt a tut. It's fairly simple to make. ^_^ Enjoy!

Kinda blurry, needs to be lined but i don't think i'll do that. I just need it to hold my wallet and my cell.

Yarn inside to hold it's shape.

Me modeling it.

And one last look.

Tutorial!!!
I hope you all can understand this. If not just ask and i'll try my best to give the best answer. ^_^

I made this pattern up as I went. But you can make up your own with different stitches. You could also keep going after round 16 if you desire a bigger size.

This is basically two half circles chained together. So you have to do this pattern twice then chain them together. lol

The handle is just sc back and forth till desired length is reached then you just stitch the handle to the purse.

sc - single crochet
dc - double crochet
hdc - half double crochet

Purse pattern

Chain 4 then close to form a circle
1st round – crochet 7 sc in middle of circle

2nd round – sc twice in first 5 chains
turn and start back the other way (now all you do is crochet half of the circle and turn back every time you finish that round.)

3rd round – sc twice in the now 10 chains

4th round – dc and chain 1  in the 20 chains

5th round – dc and chain 1  in the spaces between each previous dc stitches

6th round – sc in each chain

7th round – *sc in first two chains and on third sc twice (repeat from asterisk till end)

8th round – sc in each chain

9th round – dc and chain 1  in each chain

10th round – dc in the spaces between each previous dc stitches

11th round-13th round – sc in each chain

14th round – dc and chain 1  in each chain

15th round – hdc in the spaces between each previous dc stitches

16th round-18th round – sc in each chain

Once both half circles are done just stitch the round bottoms together and turn inside out add handle and you’re done! Check pic.

P.S. If anyone trys this tut i'd LOVE to see what the out come was. ^_^

That purse is darling and it suits you completely!  It reminds me of crochet dude's chick on the halfshell. But, I rather like your style better, it doesn't have the "love handles" on the side. You did a wonderful job, AlmondEyes!  I do hope you'll share the pattern with us.  Smiley

Is this the  Crochet Dude's Chic on the Half Shell
WOW!   Shocked I really, really love the color.  What yarn did you use?  Did it take a long time?

It does look similar to the Chic on the Half Shell one (and thanks for the link ConcreteJuggler Smiley).

I too would love a tute.  I just retaught myself how to crochet after being a devoted knitter.  I love Debbie Stoller though so I couldn't resist her book.  Way more entertaining stuff than my gram taught me.  Smiley

Absolutely wonderful purse.  And, thank you for offering a tute.

That's gorgeous! And when I first saw it, I thought right away of Chic on the Half Shell, too! Tongue Anyways, do you have a pattern to share? Thanks!

Then it's settled I shall work on that tut right away! And I think the yarn was Red Heart Plush, ConcreteJungler. I'm glad that everyone loves it.
