I was wondering if anyone had made the awesome reconstructed "color block sundress" from the latest issue (june/july) of Budget Living magazine.
(for those of you who haven't seen it, it's not on thier website, but i can scan it and post it if you'd like)

i love this dress, and do alot of reconstructing of old T's, so i am so excited to make this.
just wanted to know if you'd tried it and if there is anything i should know/do that isn't it thier directions. or perhaps, better ways to go about making it, etc.

(does this make sense? sorry--i just woke up).

I haven't seen it, but I'd love to see the pic. I really like BL, but my store only carries it at random times, so I can't always get it (including that issue). I should subscribe, but haven't quite gotten around to it!

Yup, BL is short for Budget Living Magazine. And that is one of the coolest dresses I've seen!

so, i finally tried this last night--i got the skirt done, but didn't like the way the top shirt looked--the colors didn't go well together, but the skirt looks great, and actually, this pattern is really versitile, and you could do so much more, like use sheets or other random fabrics. i'll try to post some pictures when i'm done.
