Howdy Craftsters

I just got my HH book after ages of waiting (it finally came to my local Borders, after delays in transit  Roll Eyes) and I needed a fairly fast project to work up so I could give it as a gift today. An evening later and some gorgeous 50% wool 50% acrylic variegated yarn, and this sucker was born.

I searched frantically around my local shopping centre to find a ribbon for it, but the best I could find was this thin silver cord at a newsagent which I doubled up, and used the remainder as the centre for the blue mohair flower.

I really loved the effect that the variegated yarn had, and the cruddy scan in (my brother lost the camera charger) doesn't really show the colours so well; it is more a tan and cornflower blue.

She loved it too, which made me feel good...

Your bag looks really pretty.
I love the mohair flower.

I really do like the colors of your bag!  It kind of gives it a tweedy look, which would work in the cooler seasons too.  Great job!   Grin
