I received today from red_willow. She send me a one project bag for my knitting and I love it. The colors are awesome, and the lace adds such a nice Regency touch. She also send me two skeins of beautiful hand spun yarn (one is alpaca and I think the other is lamb's wool). I've never used hand spun yarn and I am so excited to try it! Smiley The last item is a silk scarf like Elizabeth Bennet wore when she arrives home and sees Jane after finding out that Lydia ran off with Wickham.

Thanks so much Red Willow! I LOVE IT ALL Cheesy

The good thing about recieving before you send is that you know what you're up against!  Wink
I recieved from IQJones, yesterday and I know it's terribly unfair to be posting the best swap package so early on, so be it!

I was leaving for the postoffice, saturday afternoon, when lo, I noticed a package sticking out of my mailbox.  I knew what it was.   Smiley

  Inside, I found this

Lizzy and Mr. Darcy over the years

The Golden Temple with a shrinky dinked dance scene from Bride & Prejudice

Speaks for itself

a journal with a shrinky dinked Emma and Mr. Knightly

some seals and stationary

I had mentioned to IQ that I had a very sad copy of P&P, which I had taken everywhere, and which had been taped up for it's protection

So she made it a jacket!

And just for good measure, she threw in:

I got a great partner!!!  Thank you!  I had fun!

Debbies only get respect in the knitting world.  How unfair is that?

Because Poe wrote on both of them.

Anyone up for a Jasper Fforde swap?

Great stuff! I didn't even know you could do that with shrinky dinks.

red_willow let me know she received, but she has been really busy. I only took pics of a few of the things I made, but I will try to post them later.

kristi

Edited to add:

I learned to embroider for this swap and now I am hooked. Here are two handkerchiefts I embroidered for red_willow. One has her initial on it.

Unfortunately I forgot to take pics of the following items because I was so excited to send my package out.  I made a wooden box (that looked like a book) covered with pics and decoupage glue. I put pictures of Darcy and Lizzie from the BBC production of Pride and Prejudice on it. It was hard to part with! I made coasters with movie pics from Emma, Pride and Prejudice, Persuasion, and Sense and Sensibility on them as well. They were covered in resin to be waterproof. And the last thing I made was a reticule, but it turned out looking kind of like a gift bag.

All in all a very fun swap! I really enjoyed making things for this and it inspired me to learn new things.

I am floored by the amazing package I received today, containing:
-Pride & Prejudice book-box

-Jane Austen Silloutte card holder/tin (possibly my favorite!)

Shrinky dinks are amazing.
For these projects, I used the kind you print on (any ink-jet printer).
If you go to the Shrinky Dink website they have all kinds of options.
Warning: they are addictive!
