I have not posted a completed project in a while so since i recently finished bag i designed for my cousins birthday i figure i should post it.
well for my little cousins (whose name is Sami hence the name of the bags) Birthday my mom is making here the knot ugly shrug from
happy hooker. since she had a ton of yarn left over i offered to make her a bag since she liked the one i made her for Christmas so much. it is a cute little drawstrip pouch.

This bag was made with a combination of 3 worsted acrylics.
If anyone is intrested i could post patterns for both bags{edited to add}
okay here are the patternsBoth of these patterns are relatively simple and easy to modify for diffrent weight yarn. The bags i made do noe have lining but you could easily add it.

16 sts/24 rows = 4" in stockinette stitch
Pattern Note
This whole pattern is worked double stranded but a single strand can be used if it knits up at a close gauge.
Pattern
Co 70sts join round
Knit 6.5 inches
Eyelet round: *k2tog, yo,k1* rep from* to* until 4 stitches remain knit those regularly
Knit aprox. ½” more or how ever much desired for the rolled edge

Using the spool knitter make a 1 yard length OR make a four stitch I cord the same length

Finishing
Sew bottom of bag together with mattress stitch while leaving the 4 stitch solid spot on the eyelet round in the center of the front (where the bow will be tied)
Then string the cord through starting at the opening and ending there. Tie a bow or pull the string to close it. If desired attach a flower to it and you are done

Pattern Notes
The bag is done with 3 strands of yarn held together one of each color.
Increase pattern
Row 1 knit round
Row 2 * kfb knit until one stitch from the stitch marker kfb pass marker knit 4 stitches pass marker * repeat from * to end
Decrease pattern
Row 1 knit round
Row 2 * SSK knit until two stitches from the stitch marker k2tog pass marker knit 4 stitches pass marker * repeat from * to end

Attach the bottom of the bag using back stitch
Attach purse handles 0.25 inches down from the top edge by going through a purl bump then through the handle hole (see fig 1)
Add a pin or a knitted or crochet flower to make the bag extra special
