My mom had this in our sell pile. I have started crafting more and realized that I needed this baby for my knitting in progress projects (that are piling up fast Grin). I like the old fabric, but it looks garish in my room.

I had already taken it apart...

I'm not the greatest at sewing, so this must have been fairly easy. I enjoyed spending a saturday afternoon on it.

That is GREAT!  How did you make it?  I really need one of those(have wiley kitties who like to get into yarn and steal my wooden knitting needles Tongue)  I love the fabric too!

Thanks everyone!

This is how I made it... I had the stand already and just kind of used the old fabric for the pattern. Start hitting the thrift stores! I found one this weekend, but it was kind of broken so I didn't buy it.

Sewing it was only a little difficult (part of it is sewed to the stand itself, boo!) But I bet if you were willing to think about it longer, it could be velcroed on some way. If any of you want to make one and need specifics feel free to  message me.

Wicket-poo - In response to your needle problem I just made the roll up needle case from the stitch n bitch books that would definitely help with those not getting swiped. the link to that page:

I love your avatar by the way! Labyrinth rocks face!
