I just love puzzle pieces in my crafts.. I saw another card (different style) online using a puzzle piece and thought it would be a cool idea.. these days I don't buy ANY cards.. I make them all.. I enjoy making them and the people have a one of a kind card that they couldn't get anywhere else.. not to mention it will say exactly what YOU want it to.

Handmade cards rock! Yours is especially nice with the "thank you" written on the puzzle pieces...novel idea.

yarnhag - love the anklet! I so wish that I could do all that braiding and beading to make jewelry - unfortunately (or maybe fortunately for my wallet) I can't Sad

There's a clasp; it's a twist together screw thing so it's not likely to pop off like a hook and eye.  I wanted it to be removeable in case of formal occasions or red pants. (not that I own red pants, but they sure wouldn't match an orange anklet!)

I'm glad you like it.  It was really very easy -- the crochet made it much faster than knotting it.

I'm a few days late at posting this, but I *promise* it was finished before the end of July.

As I've mentioned before, I have a strong hatred for the color yellow so the only craft supplies I could find in my stash that were yellow were a few beads..so..here's the choker I made with them..

Ok so I guess orange isn't that bad.  I found this fabric in the clearance section of JoAnn's yesterday & immediately thought of a friend, who happens to be having a birthday soon... so I added appliqued a mermaid from some other fabric I had (she is ALWAYS in the ocean, even today when I saw her she was on her way over to swim in the ocean).  Anyway I zipped the fabric up into a cover for a composition notebook, which can be replaced if she fills it up.  & she can wash the cover if ever needed.  & its ORANGE.

action shot...

close up of the mermaid...

I think I'm getting the hang of the whole applique thing.  Hope she likes it.
