i like the initial version, without the ruffles.  i think the ruffles just make it look wierd.  if it was me, i'd just take it in where it was too "revealing" 
How would I take it in?  It was already too small.  Oh, and the middle ruffle is gone.  Look for action beach shots tommorrow!  Cool

i'm not sure h ow you would take it in, but if i could actually see it, i could maybe figure out a way.  Can't wait to see it on the beach!

do you have any of the same fabric that you made the top out of? cause if you added a little bit with the same fabric the alterations wouldnt be so noticeable

just to put my two cents in...i agree that the ruffles are a bit too much. not being much of a seamstress, however, I can't suggest appropriate alterations. otherwise, I think it's beautiful, and you look great in it. good luck!

Did you get a good look at my face?  I look NOTHING like a 21 year old.  People are surprised to hear that I'll be graduating from college soon.  They think I've just started high school.  *le sigh*

And it rained on my birthday, so the beach was a bust.  I was just in the Keys, but because of the hurrcane, I had to leave before I got a chance to wear it.  I don't think it was meant to be... bah.
