Thank you so much for sharing!
I have some black and white bamboo and have been looking for a little summery knit for it, i don't have a ton of yardage though... I think I have 462 yards. Eek. I expect I do need to start looking for more, huh?
I heart bamboo--
Your pattern is adorable. Thank you so much for sharing it!

i'm sad to say, the yarn i bought had no yardage or gauge info printed on it whatsoever! it's this from company called Kangaroo that doesn't seem to export outside of Greece. for what it's worth, i used two and a half very large skeins (yes, i realize, that information is essentially useless). sorry about that! if the bamboo knits up nicely at a large gauge on big needles though, like this cotton did, 462 yards sounds like more than enough.
if you give it a try, i'd love to see how it goes!

Thank you VERY much!
Your post gave me the inspiration and the motivation to re-do my ballet t-shirt with improvements.

I have a question-- I am making your shaped ribbon tee now (love it!) and I'm changing a few things (mostly adding on, I single crocheted around the top part, being busty I often need more coverage) ... but I am a fairly new knitter and the m1 increases for the bust just didn't come out right.
I have not done short rows yet (and certainly not on circs) and I think that's probably what my gargantuan 'tas need... any advice? I am also thinking of possibly doing a lace bottom (not having summer abs myself, lol, I was thinking a bit longer, possibly with increases toward the bottom for my hips) and I have the mid-underarms marked for such a thing... how does one do short rows with circs? Do I knit onto a straight (or second set) needle to go back and forth, and then pick back up with the circs later? Egads... this is scary!
I'm frogging three rows and trying to figure out how to get around the girls...any advice is appreciated!

peanutga11ery, short rows on circs is easy -- no need for extra needles. Just follow the instructions blindly -- when it says wrap and turn, srap and turn. You'll end up looking at the wrong side of your knitting, which is purled, so you'll have to purl back along (just pretend you have two straights in your hands instead of a circ). Then, once again, when you get to the right spot, wrap the next stitch, and turn your work... you'll be back looking at the right side knitted row and you're set to knit your way across again, but the section you just completed has two extra rows in it now! when you're done going back and forth with the short rows, you'll just pick up the wraps as usual and knit them together with the stitches that were wrapped, you'll turn, purl across, purl the wrapped stitches together with the stitches that were wrapped, turn again and you're back to plain old knitting in the round. Don't overthink this one... just do it, you'll be fine!

I'm short rowing... wrapping and turning...
anybody know how many short rows to add for a 34DD?
Ok, I can probably figure that out with the book, but one thing I *do* need help with--the explanation of the short rows is assuming you are working from bottom up, and I'm doing top down on this pattern. So I am assuming I swap the directions, is that right? And wrap and turn two *more* on each row so that the biggest increases are under...
This is confusing, I'm going over to read up on short rows at knitty...
