I finished a pair of socks a couple of weeks ago, and kept putting off posting them because I don't have pictures of the completed pair. Well, I still don't have pictures of the completed pair, but this topic title was begging to be used. (The number of people who asked me if I was knitting Jaywalkers! You wouldn't believe it if I told you. (Actually, only three people did. But still.)) So here they are: Welt Fantastic socks from the Sensational Socks book.

The first sock fit my foot very well. I switched to knitting Continental on the second sock because my hand kept hurting on the first sock, and the sock gained an extra half inch of circumference. Sad

I lovelovelove how the stripes look when they're all pointy like that! I wish I had enough yarn left over to make another pair, but alas, I have long feet, and am left with only a small bit.

Cute! What yarn and color is that? It looks so soft. What size needles did you use? I bet you'll smile everytime you wear those. They look so cheery.

I used Regia Cotton Surf Color. I think the specific color combination I used was "5417." (It's the number under "Farbe" on the label.) My needles were Inox size 2... But they lied. They're really in between 1 and 2.

And it's true. These socks make me almost unbearably happy. Smiley

I love them! Much too cute. In fact, I am slipping on my Ninja gear right this moment to come rob them off your feet!  Shocked

Oh no! The sock-stealing ninjas are coming after me!

Thankfully, I know the only weakness of the Sock Ninja - dirty laundry! My socks will be safe there, and will be with me for yet another wearing.

Oh no!  I hate it when my socks get stolen right off my feet!!!  Are the sock ninjas at all associated with the Laundry Gnomes who only steal one sock? Huh

Debbies only get respect in the knitting world.  How unfair is that?

Because Poe wrote on both of them.

Anyone up for a Jasper Fforde swap?

Drat. Foiled again. :/

No, we are not associated with those gnomes... don't paint us all with that brush, ma'am. We are sock stealing artistes. Ahem.

Oh, I love love love them! I need to make a pair of socks...I've knit many other things, including a sweater and a waistcoat, but socks scare me. Perhaps it is the teeny tiny needles.
