why yes it is another spin off of sakijane's ribbon dress i made over a year ago, but i made it my own, instead of making it a dress i made it a long shirt and there are no ribbons hanging off the bottom

mmmkay so how i made the dress is (hopefully) simple to explain....
1) i bought a pattern that was a strapless dress and altered it to be just a long top ( basically cut off the skirt part and lengthed it ) make sure it fits you properly !!
2) sewed as patterns said (hemmed and everything)****DO NOT SEW ZIPPER IN YET!!!
3) i used a dress form and wrap ribbon around and pined it at the back seam( where the zipper goes)
4) while still on dress form (after all ribbons where on) i hand sewwed the ribbon on spots in the front so when i wear it the ribbons wont become loose and out of place
5) CAREFULLY take off dress form (back ribbons still pined on) lay on table and baste the ribbons on the back seam then you machine sew in place and take out basting
6) sew in zipper and add on any thinig you want .....like an applique!
7) walla!! put it on and sit back and let every one gush over your lovey new top!
