This hat is a gift for my partner. He asked for a hat for his birthday. When I asked him what he wanted it to be like, he specified brown, with earflaps, stripes, and a moose. If I were to make a moose again, I'd chart it out to have a bigger snout because I think it looks too thin to be moose-y. I guess random antlered animal will have to do.

Pictures of the hat on me, because I haven't had a chance to take pictures of him wearing it:





The flaps look a little long, but it works out because his head and face are bigger than mine.

Made with Patons Shetland Chunky in Deep Taupe and Earthy Brown with a 6 mm hook.

Wow! Awesome! It looks really really good...I love the stripes and the edging in the lighter brown, and the moose looks incredible. I hope he wears it all the time to show off how incredible that is!

Your hat is fantastitch,your partner is a lucky chap . Is there any chance you'll be posting a pattern?? I'd love to make this before winter hits (I'm in Aus). & the Moose looks good to me, not too skinny.  Grin
