Okay...so I'm due in September and I have NEVER been pregnant in the summer before. So I'm going to need some maternity tops. And I thought, you know I could knit one just to kill time at LEAST.

So if you see any kind of empire waisted tunic type tank or halter, let me know!! They're in style right now, so I'm just hoping that someone has turned out a pattern for one recently.  Cheesy

Check out the Lelah thread. It's strapless, but many people have been putting straps on it.

this nursing tank on knitty might be a good starting point

it wouldn't be difficult to add some extra shaping to to make more room for the bump and it might be useful once the baby is born

soozeq: Do you think that the Lelah would be long enough? I had seen it already and thought it was gorgeous (I had intended on putting the straps on it anyway, I like straps Smiley ) But I was afraid that it wouldn't go down over my belly the right way. Maybe I could just add some length to it to be sure?

ysolda: Oh yes, that is so already in my list of things to make! It is absolutely lovely!!
