I got my package from ambrosia_luv yesterday, and it's all wonderful. Pictures in a few minutes. [:

Edit: Here we go.

There was also a lovely journal and a bunch of stickers, but my camera died before I could get a shot of them.

Thanks, ambrosia_luv!

Raindrops said I could post pics of the stuff I sent her, so here 'tis...

She wanted a bag to carry her books, so I made a nice roomy one lined in thick strong gabardine, and embroidered a monkey and a fawn reading a book to make it purdy

Here's a detail shot of the embroidery, my second attempt ever, and the first pattern I made up myself  Smiley

But somehow the book stitching got damaged in transit, and the bag is now in embroidery ICU with a friend  Embarrassed
I also sent some other bits: kinder surprise, easter marshmallows, some cute fabric and typewriter-y stickers

My Swap Items from Rain

I got my swap package a few days ago and have just now gotten around to posting. It was a nice package full of fun little things for me to find.

I also got this bag that was so great that it got its own picture.  The bag totally inspired me to go out and buy a sewing machine so I could add a lining. My swap partner Rain has converted me to a new craft with out even realizing it (How great is that).

Isn't it fabulous?  And she used two of my favorite animals- fawns and monkeys!  I can't wait to get it back from Embroidery ICU so that I can carry it around and show it off.  Silly postal people!

haha!! Is that monkey eating the page? heeee

Everything is so neat, but I just love the uniqueness of a monkey and a fawn reading together.

Thanks everyone  Smiley
And the monkey's not eating the page  Tongue he's reading it, while debating a contentious point in the book with the fawn.  I'm not sure what they're reading to be honest.  Evolution theories perhaps? Global climate change?  Recipes for banana pie??

...cross-species relationships, jungle decorating meets forest design, single monkeys raising extraordinary fawns...it was clear from the start the monkey was not "eating" the book.

Lovely work by the way.
