Being inspired by other posts with needle books....

The numbers are so I know what size needle is on each page.

Also made this sewing machine cover. The quilt block on the front is also a pin cushion (very puffy).

Okay here is the quick tutorial:

1.

2.

3.At this point make a rectangle with these dimensions including the added inches and the seam allowances. You can also add the coordinating fabric at each long end. (I had to take my cover apart and add this later as my rectangle was too small, so this was really a "fix the booboo solution").

4.Now you get creative. Add a loop at the top for a handle to pull the cover off and to put it back on. Applique, make a quilt block, embroider, etc... the front of your cover.

5.

6.Now make 2 pieces for each end of the cover. As you can see I made the top about 4" narrower than the base.

7.Before sewing the ends to the rectangle I used heavy weight interfacing on all 3 pieces so the cover would hold its shape.

8.Sew the sides to each short end of the rectangle.

9.Sew a piece of your coordinating fabric around the base to finish off the raw edges.

Any questions just pm me.
Have fun!
