So crochet has taken over my couch and my life lately. I decided that this would be a good time to use up some of the fabric from the fabric swap that I love but haven't used. Now... I'm impetuous. I decide "hey! let's do that!" and far too frequently I do things without planning or even thinking.

A fine example, my initial run at a crochet hook case using the insanely cute lemon fabric I got from one of the rounds. Smiley

Looks good...

Now how about the inside? The blue is my crochet stuff, the green my school pencil case contents, the rest... well I like pens, it's my desk pens... It's just a wee bit too big, eh?

So I cut the seams off and re-did it. Much better!

and all wrapped up:

Melesse, it looks good and the lemon fabric is so yummy!

My little Zo has chicken pox. I know how much she likes  these beautiful bunnies, so I tried to make her one to cheer her up. I used the flower print MissMeshell sent me and Zo picked out the pink buttons for the eyes.

Mine didn't turn out as nice as the ones the very talented Fiona so perfectly sews together. But I did manage to finally put a smile on Zo's little polka dotted face.  Smiley

groschveux,

Lovely bunny!

And as someone with massive sympathy for your little girl (I got Chicken pox for the first time ever this past April) a suggestion: if you grind up whole flake oatmeal in a coffee grinder, sift it and put the powder in a muslin/cotton drawstring bag bag (I used bath tea bags, but I'm assuming you don't have these easily on hand) then put her and a couple of the bags in a cool bath, the oatmeal will moisten and let off a fabulously soothing goo that you can smooth on her poxes, plus it's fun to play with. I'd get a couple hours of relief from the itchiness after doing this. If you have some lavender buds grind that up too, it doesn't hurt.

Look at me, I'm on TV, it makes up for the shortcomings of being poor. Now I'm in a million pieces picked up for deliberation by the people listening at home, by the people watching on the telly...

I finished this about 2 months ago, but I am finally getting around to posting a photo of it.

The red/rust fabric of the dress is fabric that I got from Aeronberry in this swap.  Hard to tell but the fabric has brown leaves on it.  The other fabrics are from my own stash.
