Wonderful projects you are all making!

I'm going to be awhile posting anything made from my fabric because I'm trying to get enough together for a queen size quilt.  I decided a few months back to make a gold/yellow and purple quilt for our bed and then I thought, wouldn't it be fun to get the fabric through swaps - so, it's a slow process but eventually I will get enough and then get it made.

I'm all out of picks right now until someone receives mine but I'll keep you in mind for when I can pick again.  Since I used mine all up, I've seen a few pieces of material I wanted.  Oh well, gotta learn patience, yet again  Roll Eyes

As soon as you do, will you post a tutorial for that, pretty please?

My list of virtues is a pretty short one, and patience is one I'd like to add Tongue

holy cow you were busy ilovepaper! Everything is so cute and and the fabric is great. I'm in love with the pointy kitty...I need one badly now. And I'm with Qwerty, dying to know what used for the eyes 'cause they look fantastic!

Off to find pointy kitty tutorials for when I get my fabrics...

aww shucks, thanks everybody.
Ponty kitty eyes are made from wool felt cut from the pattern piece and then I sewed a black button in the middle. It's hard to see in the picture.
I just spent 3 hours at the park tiring my kids out so now maybe I can go make something...the laundry can wait, right?

Forget the laundry!  I'd recommend making your kids some new clothes Grin

Tell me more about your Pointy Kitty making... I tried to make her this weekend and, well... let's just say that Pointy Kitty and I are not currently friends.

I made her head and thought it was awful... until I tried to make her body, which was 5 times worse. Of course, I made her out of a fabric that I love (like a dork -- should have used scraps first). I have a bit more to re-make the body, but I'm afraid. Here's my biggest problem -- her tail ended up being about as big around as a fat pencil! (Not enough room to stuff, that's for sure).

What was the width of your Pointy Kitty's tail (approximately) before you sewed it?  Do I need to be adding seam allowances to that pattern? I couldn't tell from the directions, so I just cut right along the pattern, but now I'm wondering if I needed to allow for the seams... any help would be appreciated! Yours is adorable!
