yarncookie, I love the style and colour combination of your schoolbag/purse.  Did you use any particular pattern, or is that your own pattern?

qazicat, as usual, I'm in awe of your sewing skills!  How big is the doll?

Thanks loves2 and ilovepaper! i wasn't going to combine the 2 fabrics till someone said - Hey, those go well together! I just used my own pattern, and I think it came out pretty well. Qazicat, that doll is too cool! You have amazing sewing skills!

qazicat, your own pattern?!?  I'm impressed!  I'm assuming you painted the doll's face on the fabric and all?

Yes,  I use Zig Millennium markers, gel pens and prisma colour pencils.

I made something else using the fabric I got for this swap.  The funky strips came from Yirq.  The black was in my own stash.

This is my own pattern.

The interior is all black

Really a great looking purse!  The black really makes the stripes stand out.

What type of interfacing do you use?  Fusible, sew in, decor bond?

Heavy weight iron in interfacing.  Don't know the brand name.
