didn't know you had a myspace. I'll have to check it out.

There is also a Goldings in the Harbour Centre, the mall that Kirks kitchen stuff is in. It isn't as good as the Marion Sq shop, but still handy if your in that part of town.

Krazy lounge is gone now. the fidels ppl have opened up Ernesto's instead. Nothing quite like celebrating revolutionaries by opening up capitalist cafes  Tongue
My fave cafe is Pranah in N'town. Its totally vege, not quite vegan enuff, but still good. they dont charge extra for soy milk.

Vincents workshop (the free artspace) has moved in to the dominon post building. Not the old old one, but the most recent old one - if that makes sense. It is on Willis st just past starbucks. The council sold off Vincients old building and kicked out lots of community groups.

I think this thread should be re-named the MarkE fan club. We love MarkE! (and the animals too)

Hey there all. I recently found out about the Aro Valley Markets that are starting up the first Saturday of each month, first one will be May 5th.

I was wondering if any Wellingtonians here might pop along, check it out, and report back.

The info I have says:
"Aro Valley Community Centre and basketball court on the first Saturday of each month from 8am-12pm - weather permitting.

The Markets will be craft and community focused with music, food and plenty of interesting bargains!  Come along, meet the local community, have a picnic in the park, and enjoy a variety of art, crafts, second hand items, clothes, badges, and much more.."

If it's worthwhile as a craft-selling venue I thought I might head down (from Palmerston North) for the June one.

Thanks!
Miriam

Depending of whether or not i have community gardening stuff to do, I will probably go and will be happy to report back. It also depends on if I'm outa bed by 12. The June market will be around Queens Birthday and so might be busy and a good time to sell stuff.
