I saw this fabric and had to have it. Then I saw another fellow purse maker's bag and knew that it was destined to be a bag...as I am new to purse making, this has a simple velcro close and a basic pocket and zippered pouch...I learned that vinyl will melt--had to do the handles twice! ha ha

Now everyone thinks I am weird when I kiss my purse....muah Elvis!

Your pretty gutsy to use vinyl on one of your first purses.  Your stutching looks really great, and i love the combo of colours/fabrics that you chose to use.  I agree...  mwah Elvis! Kiss

one of your first purses?!? are you kidding?? you did an awesome job, i never would have guessed.   i make purses all the time, and mine rarely turn out as professional looking.  plus, i kinda suck at putting zippered pockets in.

anywho, great job!

I love your signature. Grin  I'm the same way about my room. The unfortunate thing about my room is that the computer isn't in there so i have to leave to go to craftster.  Undecided
BTW i love the bag too.
Cheers!!

I used the incredible ultimate tutorial put together by jmi in the purses home to find various ways to put in the pocket zipper.  I tried them all but I liked the one by SEWPIXIE the best.  It was fast and very neat.  Experiment on a few like I am doing and then do your own thing! That is the best part...learning from others experience and then adapting to your work style, etc.  Thanks...I am addicted now and I am making bags for complete strangers for experience ha ha You will have fun with this fabric.  It was nice because it had places to cut even and straight!

I have some left over for a cell phone case and a cosmetic bag--YIPEEE! (goes off searching for tutorials....)
