I'm pretty new to stencilling..I did a lot when I was really young (like 4
) but you all have made me want to give this stencilling thing a try. This time with cool pictures, not those wierd flowery stencils from the craft store
So- Here is my first attempt..HomestarRunner! I got the stencil from homestarrunner's pumpkin carving page (http://www.homestarrunner.com/ween_stencils.html
) and used acrylic paint with a manilla folder as my cardstock--That stuff was a nightmare! My blade kept on ripping the folder!Freezer paper is so much easier to work with.
(ignore my deformed looking hand,please)
My 2nd stencil was the white tree of gondor from Lord of the Rings.I did it with acrylic paint and freezer paper. The freezer paper kept getting stuck in my printer and causing a jam, though so I ended up printing the image on normal paper and tracing to my freezer paper.
The image is from an old thread I found while lurking around here (http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=21321.0
Thanks for getting me interested in this, you guys..It is addictive!
