Listen up - I am a knitter. I don't sew. Until today. This is my first successful sewing project. I used the Katarina hoodie pattern from www.fitzpatterns.co m. It was all cool but it came literally with just pattern pieces, no instructions. So, I muddled through.

I made a decision not to line the hood as I was a little short on material. And I am yet to attach the pouch pocket but I might leave it off altogether.

The fabric is gorgeous - stretch towelling with a zoo print all over it. I saw a Harajuka Lovers one about 9 months ago that was terribly similar... but $95. Craftsters know better. This came in at around $6.

There's still a bit of finishing to be done but this one's a winner folks! Thoughts?

I don't believe you ever had a fear of sewing machines...  Wink Heehee.   It looks great for any hoodie - especially a first!  I love the print, very cute!

Thanks guys!

And trust me - I was petrified of sewing machines. I am convinced I'll lose control and lose a finger. The hoodie was a swift learning curve though and I can see lots more Kelly-based creations coming from my machine in the near future!
