i just finished this and i'm soo happy with it! since i'm short (5'2"), i shortened it by one row of shells, fyi.

i used some cheapo walmart yarn- red heart symphony in mystic purple. it wasn't bad to work with, i didn't think. i only needed one skein and had a bunch left over, which made this little baby cost about $3. woohoo!

Great job, it looks awesome!  A hint about Symphony yarn, it does work up nicely but be careful what you wear it OVER, as it tends to shed quite a bit.  At least that's been my experience.  But you can't beat the yardage and the price!
