LunaFate - Thank You!!!!!!  That was exactly what I wanted.

Shade n Shadow - You don't know this but you are my sewing idol.  I love your site and bodices!  I saw your review on the Vogue pattern 7427 and I just love the corset you made from it.  Thanks for all the info.

Here's what I found on making a sloper: http://www.seamlyne.com/design/costume/bodice/bodice_index.html
I think I'm going to start making this tonight.  Then this weekend I'm going to also do the duct tape thing.  I asked my husband if he would like to tape me up this weekend and he seems really excited about it.  I probably should have elaborated more. Wink

Another question.  Since I am amply busted do you think the zipper or strip of hook and eyes would work?  Or should I stick to the tried and true metal busk?

I bought fabric last night and I will post a picture of it soon.  I'm so excited.  Thanks!

I promised to show a pic of the fabric so here it is.  This is just the outside layer and the front is only temporarily seamed, I have a front opening busk to put in it.  I decided to go ahead and use a pattern this time since it was on sale for 99 cents (simplicity 5006).  The question I have now is should I put the boning inside or put satin ribbons over the seams for the boning so that it's more decorative?  Thanks for the suggestions!

Nicole

nice:) make sure you are using something really study for the interlining, so as not to allow time to ruin that beautiful outer shell fabric:)

Thank you thixle for inspiring me to make another corset (I made my first one for my wedding).  I love the instructions from waisted.com and finished it back in May.  It is for my penguingrrl alter ego.  Pinstripes and tails in the back, white in the front.  I was inspired by the website - http://www.deliciouscorsets.com/insect.html

Stay tuned for pics....

Woo Hoo I got the busk my corset (link to pic below).  I'm so proud!  I also bought another pattern.  Vogue 2810.  I found a remnant of this beautiful black and red brocade that I want to use with it.  I can't wait.  I think I'm hooked!

Here's the link to my current corset so far.
