I made this little decorative basket using one of those green containers tomatoes sometime come in, some leftover Easter print fabric, and a little wire. It turned out really cute...at least to me. I'm thinking of making another without a holiday theme.

Happy Easter!

How did you do it?

I took a small plastic veggie/fruit container...the green ones that look like little crates, and some fabric, which I cut into one-inch strips a little longer than each side. I then just wove the strips in the edges, tied in a knot, then trimmed. Along the top edge, I used even thinner strips, in a shorter length, tied in little knots all the way around. For the handle, I sewed two strips together with a piece of wire between them, then trimmed them with pinking shears, evenly spaced them on each of the shorter sides, twisted the end up and tied a bow around it. I then cut a piece of cardstock the size of the bottom to place inside so nothing would fall out.

Hope that helps! I had a photo of the supplies before I started, but my camera went wiggy on me and gave me an error when I tried to retrieve them.
