I have a ton of t-shirts that I never wear so I decided to put them to good use one day when I didn't have any yarn to crochet with. I cut the shirts into thin strips and connected them to creat "t-shirt yarn," then made this bag out of my ball of t-shirt. I love it, I have a yarn version (posted in purses, bags, wallets : completed projects: general) but this one is much sturdier, and hasn't streched out as much. Plus, it's totally washable.

I love it, not only the fact that it's made from t-shirts (awesome idea), but also the pattern, by any chance could I get a copy of the pattern. I really like it!

Why are you trying to fit in,

I don't really have a set pattern, I pretty much wing it whenever I make one of these, but I will try to get some more detailled instructions on the pattern and how to make the t-shirt strips up here in the next couple days. You'll be surprised how simple the pattern is when you see it, they're really fun to make.

That is so cool! And made out of old tshirts too... what an awesome idea! I love the bag, too, and the pattern on it!
Very good job on that! Would love to know how to make the strips.. did you just tie them together? I think I see the knots in there...
