Oh my goodness! That is SO cute! Is it all Hello Kitty, or are there other characters in there as well? I am really taken with Chococat, for some reason. She is my new mascot. Hehe.

When you get the book, and actually make something from it, you'll have to post it and let us all see.  Grin

I will, for sure. But I'm not a great hooker... yet.

I just saw the same book and that Hello Kitty granny square is so cute I can hardly stand it!  I wish I could justify buying it.  Oh well...

I can't wait to see this square worked out!

OK, here's my first attempt at the Hello Kitty granny square. I'm not so good at crocheting yet, so please be kind. LOL

I'm dying of cute right now.  How hard was the square to crochet?

I read your manifestos and strange religious tracts.  You took me to your library and kissed me in the stacks.

The eBay ad said the book is discontinued. It's called Hello Kitty Pompom mascot & Knit Goods. I'm sure someone will sell their old copy on eBay if you keep an eye out. My copy cost me 50 USD. Yes, I am insane. LOL.

The directions are only in Japanese. But the international charts for crochet areused and easy to understand, once you know how to use them.

I learned how to use the internation crochet charts from the Happy Hooker book. Plus, I made tons of stuff (with a few errors along the way) to get used to them. But once you know them, you can use any language book that uses the international chart.
