i live about 45 minutes north of atlanta in a city called Gainesville.  it's very pretty up here, but the crafty spirit of others has failed to reach me.  we have one decent yarn store, but the typical visitor there is in an age bracket that isn't interested in knitting a bikini.  that said, if anyone lives out here in the boonies and would like to start a knitting and crafting group with me, i'd really love to have someone other than my friends whom i've taught to knit or sew to hang out with whilst crafting.

There are some of us in Alpharetta (South Forsyth) that are TRYING to get together for a s&b...  That's not too far from Gainesville.  We are attempting to organize on the North Atl girl post, maybe you could join us?

well, i was rather hoping that there were more crafty kids up here in my direction that were just quiet internet geeks waiting to be invited out.  that not being the case though, i would love to join you.  if you need any help with organization or anything else, let me know.  i'll even bus in some of my knitting students.

I live off the gainsville exit but my address is cumming. A bunch of us who live up north work in alpahretta which was one of the idea's behind meeting there.

What yarn store do you go to?

well, technically it's a quilting store, but they sell a nice variety of yarns as well.  the store is called quilted hearts.
